gag reflex

Has anyone found that their gag reflex is much stronger during pregnancy?  I am 14 weeks so the nausea should be passing.  Having said this, I gag all the time.  Brushing my teeth is not fun.  Right now I have a sore throat so I tried to do a saltwater gargle last night.  I kept gagging every time I tried to gargle until it finally just made me throw up.  Is this normal?  Has anyone found the same thing?

    TTC since June 2011
    DH diagnosed with Testicular Cancer 8/2010
    Low sperm count. Only option IVF with ICSI
    Starting First cycle Jan/Feb 2012- Canceled due to not responding to BCP and/or Lupron
    IVF 1.2- stims March 14, ER March 24, 16 R 10F 6 made it to blast
    ET March 29- transferred two blasts, 4A and 4BA, froze 4
    Positive HPT 9dp5dt Beta 1- 385 11dp5dt
    u/s April 25- one healthy heartbeat
    EDD 12/12/12>

    Oh yes. My gag reflex has been crazy sensitive. Smells are a nightmare. I still throw up a couple times per week, but any sort of gagging will have me running to the restroom. 
    TTC in 2009, Dx: Unexplained IF
    Three TI cycles (BFP...miscarriage), five IUI attempts and 2.5 IVF cycles later...BFP!!
    12dp5dt: 765; 15dp5dt: 1979; 17dp5dt: 3379...TWINS!!!!!
    Our perfect baby boys were born at 36w1d!!

    After my nausea went away that is when i started gagging. I would gag just thinking about certain things. It went away after about two weeks.

    I'm gagging over everything these days. I haven't actually had to make a run to the bathroom but the gagging is OOC.
    TTC #1 since 11/10 | Diagnosed with PCOS 11/28/11 | Lap 1/20/12: stage 2 endo & cyst removal
    Clomid- No response
    Metformin 1500 mg Femara 5mg + Trigger + TI Round 2 = BFP!

    this is the first week that brushing my teeth didn't immediately send me dry heaving or vomiting.  And it's still hit or miss.

    Oh yes! The gag reflex has gotten super sensitive. Smells set it off, brushing my teeth, my vitamins, etc.

    5/06 -2nd baby had no heartbeat at 14 wks.
    D&E - Bled out. Blood transfusions. Week in ICU - Cheated Death!
    Diagnosis: Blood clotting and bleeding disorder, immune issues, & cervical stenosis
    5/10 - 1st IVF cycle - BFN
    FET - 10/12/10 - BFN
    1/11 - IVF with PGD - BFN
    IVF - May - BFN
    6/11 New RE - fingers crossed!
    9/11 - IVF - 4 transferred
    10/13 - BFP!!

    Yep :) Same as the other posters - brushing my teeth, taking a pill, certain smells, etc.

    Definitely!  I used to swallow 5-6 supplement pills at once and now just one makes me gag!  It's very annoying, but I'm grateful that I haven't had too much nausea.

    Yes! Everything makes me gag now and I usually have a pretty strong constitution toward gag worthy stuff!
    Me: 37 DH: 40 TTC since 9/09
    #1 BFP 1/10/11; missed m/c discovered 7w5d
    IF Dx: Endo, hetero MTHFR mutation, poor morphology
    #1 IUI: 1/18/12 = BFN
    #1 IVF/ICSI 4/2/12 = 2 x 7-cell and 1 x 5-cell transferred (3dt) = BFP!!
    H was born at 41w2d on 12/29/12 - be still my heart!
    #2 IVF/ICSI 1/19/14 = 2 x 8 cells transferred (3dt) = BFP!! EDD 10/09/14

    It's strange, I don't have any problem with brushing my teeth or smells, but my gag reflex has been sensitive as well.

    What sets off mine is sneezing, coughing, hiccuping, burping, etc. It started at about 12 weeks, just as my nasuea was starting to lighten up. Now if my allergies are bothering me, I have to be prepared to run to the bathroom to vomit. Yesterday I sneezed and nearly threw up on my bosses' desk! 

    Does anyone have any suggestions on how to lessen the gag reflex? I am seriously struggling with this.
