I just went to the bathroom and when I wiped I saw dark red. AF was due two days ago and now I'm freaking out. Should I go to the ER? Any advice/experiences would be helpful!
I'm not a doctor, but if it were me, I would just take it easy and see what happens. You're so early that I can't imagine that they would even try to do an ultrasound. They would probably do bloodwork to see where your numbers are and tell you to follow up with your OB. You could put in a call to your OB to ask him/her.
I've been spotting to light bleeding for over a week. It started out really red and there was more than spotting but the baby looked okay and had a strong heartbeat. Seeing any blood is scary, but it doesn't mean it's the end. T&P to you!
The best that an ER visit can do is give you a beta test this early. And, it wouldn't tell you much unless you follow-up with one on Monday.
I know it's hard, but my best advice is to drink a ton of water, keep your feet up and rest. On Monday, call your doctor's office and request betas to be drawn.
