Re: Zofran

  • Oh that is not nice....

I hate giving patients oral Zofran, because obviously their nauseated...and if they throw up, they just woofed a lot of $$...

    Hope you feel better...

  • Have you tried Unisom?

I took Zofran at 6ish last night and it did NOTHING! Finally at about 9:30, I took Unisom and about 30 minutes later had literally NO nausea at all. I still chalked it up to the fact that my nausea comes and goes. But then this morning when I started to feel queesy again, I took another half unisom and it did the trick again.

Someone on here had suggested it with b6, so I did my research and went out and bought both. Did the b6 alone and it didn't do anything...in fact, it may have made it worse. But the unisom worked! Try it if you haven't already. I only take half tablet. (Don't get the gelcaps though...it has a different ingredient in it)

  • Agree about the unisom. I've been doing this for weeks, and yes. It feels never ending. Sometimes I throw up after the zofran, but it does seem to stop the uncontrollable vomiting even I throw up once or twice after I take it. Unisom does do more for the nausea, but no matter what I am nauseated 100% of the time.
