My stepdaughter (who has no idea that i'm pregnant) came in to our bedroom this morning and announced that "my stomach was growing alittle bit each day, not that i'm fat, it's just growing a tiny bit each day." i almost lost it laughing so hard. i guess i won't be hiding it for much longer from her.

I have a stepdaughter about the same age and she's starting to pick up on things too.

Raw meat has been making me gag so I told DH he had to take over the main course portion of dinner.  He of course left a package of steaks right on the counter so I flipped it over and put it in the sink so I could make sides and salad.  When he couldn't find it I told him what I did and DD says, "That's weird. Why did you do that?"  I don't know, just looked gross to me.  "But you love steak! Why is daddy cooking anyway? You always cook. You are being very weird."

We're trying to keep it from her until we're ready to tell the world because her secret keeping could really use work.

We told my14 year-old step son.  He has autism (high-functioning) and I'm just waiting for the totally socially inappropriate burst of information to a random stranger.  We get keys to our new house today and go to the movies - I'm leaning towards the realtor but any employee/patron of the movie theater has an equal chance.

Luckily, my skids haven't been with us since the day I found out... We see them tomorrow for a few hours but then not for another week so they really haven't had a chance to figure anything out yet. 

But last weekend when they were over my youngest SS saw a gift for a babyshower next weekend and asked "Mama, is this for the baby in your tummy" I had to tell him I didn't have a baby in my tummy yet (well I didn't know I did) and then my oldest SS says "She can't have a baby until Dad says so, and you don't say so yet, right dad?" We burst out laughing... little do they know we've been trying for more than a year now and had a loss back in October. Their mom is now pregnant with #5 so they're really putting some pressure on me now.
