Late Term and Child Loss

First time back at ob-gyn since loosing Isaac

I had my two week post Isaac appointment today.  They had me go to their satellite office that is much smaller and not where we went through all of Isaac's appointment.  They were so good as to give me a time slot specifically when no pregnant mama's would be in the waiting room unless there was an emergency.

Good news-
NO damage to cervix
Cervix is healed and closed and apparently "beautiful" (weird)
Uterus is shrinking as they expect (I am still measuring about 13 weeks pregnant)
No infections

Bad News- not even that bad
NO SEX another 2+weeks

Neutral News-
Placed on birth control for 3 months to balance hormones

Best News!!
These flowers are in Isaac's garden (these specific flowers come every year but we plant flowers all around...they were put in with flowers so there was no waiting to bloom. The lili though needed to bloom).  They were not open when I left this morning. I look every morning and night to his lil garden.  When I got home from my appointment, I saw this!!!

I found myself talking to a flower. Yup, talking to a flower.  If one of my kiddos at the high school said that I would assume they were trippin' on shrooms but here I was sober as can be talking to this flower as I walked into my house. I said, "Hi baby boy!" I caught myself smiling like thank you for that sign, I made it two weeks, a check up without Jesse and come home to him!!!! Then I cried (sweet tears) thinking, "I can do this." I was so relieved...I took a deep breath and walking inside to my man.

I still have a long way to go but today was a good day!!!

  • I'm glad you had a good appointment. LOVE lilies -- I bought a purple one just after we found out Vivian had past and put it right outside the door (among a bunch of other lilies) so I could see it when I came/went.

  • I'm so glad you had a good day. Blooming flowers are awesome signs from our angels and I've talked to a couple of flowers myself!:) That was so thoughtful of your ob to schedule a time for you with no pregnant women. I didn't even think of that and there were pregnant women for my first couple of appointments. It was terrible.I just about had a panic attack in the waiting room. I got very excited when I saw your ticker about visiting the big island. I went there for my honeymoon and had the best time of my life! Let me know of you need any recommendations. I hope you have many more good days and signs from baby Isaac.
