I just noticed a brownish tint to my mucus. I know spotting is normalish, I did during both my previous pregnanciesa. Could it be from having an internal yesterday, even though it was well over 24 hours ago? I checked my cervix, it is closed.
My OB warned me after a pelvic exam or t/v ulstrasound that it can be normal to spot or have some brown discharge. I did have brown mucus/discharge after the last two times DH and I had sex. Nothing I was concerned about.
Obligatory PSA: Of course, if you're concerned or cramping unbearably you should call the dr just in case.
Also, I wouldn't go pushing away at your cervix. That's sure to agitate it and probably cause more discharge and spotting. IMO.

24 hours is a reasonable time frame, since brown = old blood. It should go away soon. It's pretty normal after an exam. (*Disclaimer, ditto what PP said.)

Holly!! Why are you checking your cervix while PG!? Don't give yourself any more issues, Hun.
Hope your spotting goes away soon.
