Thumbs down for me. Fern is my grandma's name and she drives me NUTS. Maybe without that association I would like it better. I do like the Ferne spelling.
I did the free trial on ancestry.com last year and found some really cool names. I honestly don't remember a lot of the more interesting ones now though.
ETA: I just logged into my tree. The crazy names were Bezaleel, and Burleigh (males) and Luella (Female.)
The classic names I loved are Margaret, Harriet, Eliza, Cora, Josephine, Louise, Scott, Charles, Alexander, Elaine...
