I don't think so. A bar would be weird, but a liquor store is just a store. My fave was when I got some crazy looks picking up a bottle of booze for my hubby while ginormously pregnant.
Etta Jane and Claire Elaine are here! Born March 28, 2012.
DS has already been to the liquor store. DH and I were on the way home with him in the car and we needed to get a few things. If it makes any difference, he slept the entire time.

I live in a very Irish neighborhood and it is a regular thing for children to come to the bar with their parents on Sunday afternoon's..especially if there is English soccer on. Freaked me out at first but I'm used to it now.

I always felt weird. I've only done it once. No one gave me the side eye at all.
I used to LOVE going to the liquor store with my dad! We used to go in the cold case so he could get cases. I still remember the smell of cardboard.
But I feel like it's a gross doublestandard that I feel like I'm going to get side-eyed for buying a few bottles of wine with a babe in tow.
BUT, I would never give someone else the side eye.
Ahhh yes!! The smell of cardboard boxes. I remember being little and going with my sad and they'd give me pretzel rods. Anyways... I've wanted to stop with LO bit I feel wrong about it but I wouldn't side eye at someone else doing it.

I was at a sex toy shop in my neighborhood and saw a guy in there babywearing infant twins. You're fine.
I would bring my baby into a liquor store. But I used to work at one of those shops and you have to be 18 to enter, and I had to ask parents with children to leave multiple times. They would usually get pissed, but I wasn't about to get fired for it! I would just ask "oh, is s/he 18?"
I can also only carry 2 bottles of wine while wearing Adeline. I actually need at least 5, so that's probably why I don't do it!
What if I took her in her stroller and just put the wine in the basket. Would you guys side eye me or what?
the big liquor store here has shopping carts, so we put the baby carrier in the basket, the toddler in the front part and piled the wine bottle around the baby
I used to love going to the liquor store as a kid and getting to buy candy cigarettes and lottery tickets. I convinced my parents to give me a lottery ticket each time they swore for awhile. But seriously, candy cigarettes? The 80's were so carefree!
The city we live in is so "safe",perfectly planned, and controlled that real liquor stores don't exist. We have one 7-11 for a population of 100k+ people and it is purposefully set back so that you cannot see it from the road. Not surprisingly the only shooting that occurred here one year was at the 7-11 and the clerk was killed.
Umm, my first outing with LO when he was a week old was to a liquor store. Granted, it was a matter of going to the store around the corner to pick up a bottle of kosher wine for his bris ceremony, but it still was kind of funny. Obviously I don't have a problem with kids in liquor stores!

It's illegal here in Oklahoma. The only alcohol I can buy when LO is with me is the 3 point beer in grocery stores and convenience stores, since wine and liquor are only sold in liquor stores. It's frustrating to not be able to buy a bottle of wine unless I leave LO outside the store (seriously? Not okay or safe) or ask DH to pick it up for me on his way home. The past couple of times I've been out doing errands without LO I've forgotten to stop by and get some wine.
No big deal IMO. It does become complicated when they are walking toddlers though....little dangerous with all of the shiny colorful glass bottles within reach.
I just brought DD to one yesterday to get DH a bottle of Crown Royal as part of his Fathers Day present. She was in the car seat sleeping the whole time and I thought nothing of it.

Its illegal to bring a baby into a sex shop here. I haven't tried, but I know a girl that did. I've also witnessed someone trying to bring their 12 year old son into Huster Hollywood. Uh. No.

I used to love going to the liquor store with my dad, too! Turns out he was an alcoholic, though.
I've never noticed candy for kids in the liquor stores I go to, but then again, I've never looked. Hm
OMG @ baby-wearing in a sex toy shop. Come to think of it, that might be another place where it's inappropriate to NIP. lol
