Growth Scans??

Is it standard to have one done? If not, what leads to it?

I had one done at 30 weeks because my fundal height was measuring a little too big. Haven't had one since then because my fundal height is measuring right on track.

They're not standard, I think the doctor will just order one if he suspects a problem...too big, too small, GD, etc

I only get them because of doing IVF with ICIS. There is a risk of having slow growth with that. Some practices might do one to check, but not usually unless utter issues.

I had a growth scan both pregnancies at 32 weeks (different doctors) and I was not high risk either time. They just wanted to check baby's size and position. Growth scans seem to be pretty standard around here...most people I know get them.

I had one done at 31 weeks because LO was measuring small, the Dr wasn't too concerned since I have a longer torso but ordered a scan just to be sure, and LO was right where she should've been size wise. I have another one next week since she is measuring smaller again (only a week behind), again the Dr wasn't concerned. She said it was most likely because she is so low but she just want to double check.

i have them every 3 weeks because i am having twins.

Having one this week.  Had blood pressure issues but dr mentioned to make sure the size was fine for vaginal birth.

I've been having them every 4 weeks because of marginal cord insertion.
