4 weeks today- dr. question

So we found out yesterday that I am PG!!! YEAH HOOOO!!! I called my OBGYN and she doesn't want to see me till July 24... that seems VERY far away... anyone else experience this? If so, what did you do to ease the wait? I think I'm going to take a HPT weekly until then just to make sure all is ok since it is so early in my pregnancy.

    I took a blood test on Friday and it came back positive :).  The doctor doesn't want to see me until July 27th.  I thought it was strange but I guess not since it happened to both of us!  Good luck!

    We are also expecting our first and from what I've read, first visit is usually around 8 weeks unless you have other circumstances or previous pregnancy issues. I am so anxious as well that I called my general doctor just so I feel like I can tell someone and talk about it! No idea what to even expect, but we're along for the ride. GL!

    You and I are almost exactly the same day of conception. My doc is seeing me on the 6th of July. (Last cycle began on May 19).  The person who scheduled the appt said my doc usually likes to see between 6th-9th week for the first time and that would have been June 30th, so she said "let's give it another week so you can hopefully see the heartbeat" and I was like "great! that's what I want to see."

    I'm right around you, too! (Last cycle May 21). My doc is seeing me July 12, which i guess is about 7 weeks. I thought that was late, but I'm glad I'm not the only one!

    I'm right around the same as everyone too--I guess that would be why we are commenting in the 4wk blog.  haha!!  anyways...each dr. is different and it depends on your history.  For example, I have PCOS and this is my second pregnancy (the first one ended in a miscarriage).  My doctor wanted to see me more often but still didn't schedule our ultrasound until the second wk of july.  That's probably so that they can find a heartbeat!
