prenatals

did you ladies notice that as soon as you started taking your prenatals, you puffed up with water real quick?   I'm taking the target brand prenatal that comes wiht the DHA tablet as well.....  My joints got all swollen real quick.

with my first son I took the walmart brand vitamin and I was all swollen and puffy all thru my pregnancy and then lost 30 lbs afterward..... with my second I was so bad about taking my vitamins and I was not swollen at all,,, even in the hospital the nurses were shocked that my feet were not all puffed up with water, I only lost 20lbs with that one....  Now with this pregnancy I have been on top of my vitamins and again I am puffy as a water balloon...... its so weird

did this happen to you?

Re: prenatals

  • No I haven't noticed any puffing but my vitamins I got from my doctor so I have no idea if that makes a difference or not.

  • I haven't noticed this.  I am taking Rainbow Light Complete Prenatal System.  They are food sorced so I think they are a bit easier on the system.
  • I've been on prenatals for ages (even before we were TTC) and I haven't noticed any huge amount of water retention, sorry!  I hope it gets better for you :)

  • I have been on them for over 2 years,  but no, I never noticed any puffiness.
  • I have been taking Nature Made with DHA and haven't had an issue.  I have been on them for a while as well.

  • This is my first child and I have definitely noticed that since I started my prenatals I have been retaining water. It's a huge difference and I always feel bloated. It stinks!
  • I take the ones that my doc gave me, but I haven't noticed any difference in my water retention since I started taking them in March.

  • I've had nothing more than regular around the middle bloating.
