What carrier does your DH like best?

Looking for a carrier for a toddler (2 or 3 y.o.) that my DH would like.  I think he would prefer a back carry, but I'm not sure whether he would prefer a soft structure carrier or the kind with a hard "skeleton"- for lack of a better word.  DH would use it for outings like going to the farmer's market or walking around downtown etc.

What carrier does your DH like best?  Thanks!

  • He prefers the Kelty kids backpack carrier, but likes the ergo as well.

  • We have the Beco Gemini in black. When he wears it in front carry, he says it kind of rubs on his junk and is uncomfortable but he has had no problems with the back carry.

  • Mine likes the Ergo just fine, but he's only ever tried that or the Moby (and not for a toddler or a back carry). He takes the boy for dog walks in the Ergo and enjoys it.

  • We have a boba and we both love it. I find it's really easy to adjust and switch back and forth, between the two of us. Our LO is 3 and very tall for his age, and it still fits him well. Plus, they come with pretty handy little foot straps to keep older toddlers comfy.

  • Look up the Toddler Tula, it's one of the best for bigger kids.  Others are the Toddler Bamberoos, O&A and Kinderpack.  Much, much more comfortable than the Ergos and Becos!
