I have no time, and no sitters.
ok, ok I have sitters, but I feel so stupid saying "can you watch DS while I go work out for 45 minutes?"
I run with him sometimes, and he does half way enjoy it half of the time...but I kinda just like peace when I work out...and he is one feisty two year old
Re: ok, for real...How DO you guys work out?
I don't, and my body shows it. My job has a lot of lifting, so I do maintain fairly well. And if I want to drop 10-15 lbs, it doesn't take much. I just cut out fast food and add 1-3mile walk.
That was all BEFORE DS was born. Don't know what I'm going to do now!
ugh, I'm desperate.
I can't wait till he's old enough to to hang out and entertain himself while I work out. When will that be?
I'm thinking like 10 years
Now that my LO is a little older I think Im going to have my mom add me to her Y memebership. They have a great (free) childcare.
Up until a couple months ago I would run/walk and hike with LO. She would go in her jogger or in the back pack. We were doing that anywhere from 3-6 times a week and then I started working full time and it was messing with her sleep.
Sometimes when I work a weird shift Ill leave her at daycare and extra hour and run to the gym but thats not even every other week.
Growing up my mom was single with 3 of us and had a college student come watch us 2 nights a week so she could go work out, Im almost sure I couldnt afford it but it does sound dreamy.
Sometimes our kids do great things for us! haha I love this
We walk sometimes, especially the mall........does that count? Everyone now and then ill do like 5 crunches when he's on his playmat. I used to be a hugely avid runner..so in 2 months when he is old enough to take in the jogging stroller I will start running again ..thank goodness! Like PP said I feel kinda guilty/ wierd asking someone to watch him so I can go running and Lord knows I can't afford a gym membership lol
I pretty much have to schedule it for right before or right after work, to take advantage of the daycare I pay for by the week. It's definitely tough to be motivated though... after 8 or 9 hours away from my daughter, it feels pretty selfish to make it 9-10 hours just so I can attempt to get a workout in.
Netfix has a couple fitness videos and there are lots of great ones on Youtube too... I try to make it to my pilates classes 2-3 times a week but when I don't, a half hour of internet/tv exercise is better than none, right?
