After giving birth .. pains..belly ... breast .. question!

Ok I had my twins premature at 31 weeks on the 11th. I had to have an emergent c section. Before they were born I was having a lot of pain and pressure in my pelvic bones and hips. I don't have the same pain and pressure but I still have a lot of pain there. Like the kind you feel when walking or standing while pregnant. I feel it now but it feels like my pelvic bones and hips are still being ripped apart. Has anyone else had this? If so what did you do for it?

Also .. how long did you feel 'stiff' in the abs and lower back after having your c section? I am feeling horribly stiff!

Then of coarse we have the killer painful rick hard filling with milk boobs too. I am pumping every 3 hours like the hospital said to do but the pain is insane. My boobs are rock hard and no matter how much is pumped they feel too full and hurt. HELP!

Ok .. enough of my whinning I just need advice!

BTW .. my twins are doing great. I had a girl and a boy and the girl Natalia weighs 3 lbs. Marquevis weighs 3lbs 4 oz. Marquevis needed the cpap for the first day and a half but Natalia has always been on room air. The NICU says they are doing awesome... better then they had thought that would have done. Wooowhooo .. I just hope they keep getting stronger and gaining weight.

  • First of all, glad to hear your LO's are doing great :)  Hopefully their nicu stay will be short!

The stiffness pretty much got better each day.  I'd say I felt like myself again after 3 weeks.  Take it easy but do take short walks when you can, this helps a lot.  But with your other pain that has to be hard, so I don't know!  Take the pain killers as you need.

I don't have any advice for the other stuff... I never was engorged until I quit BF.  How long are you pumping for though?  Do your boobs feel softer when you are done?  Make sure the suction is turned as high as you can stand also.  Frozen peas feel good on them too.

    Good luck!
