C-sections

Swimming after c-section?

This may seem like a stupid question, but DS was born in January so swimming was not on my mind.  I am scheduled to have a rcs on Aug 3 and am trying to decide whether or not to get our pool going, we couldn't do it before now and we will be away in 2 weeks for a week, I will be able to enjoy it for the month of July, but will I be able to swim after that?  I know I will be busy, tired, nursing a lot, caring for a new born and a toddler, etc, I'm just wondering in terms of the incision and healing.

Thanks

Yep 6 weeks before you can be in water.  Don't want your incision to be wet for too long.
