DD is allergic to latex, and now it appears she is allergic to milk. I talked to her pedi about it, and the pedi basically blew me off. She gave me a referral to an allergist, but was very skeptical and all but told me I was wasting my time. Not sure I trust her recommended allergist since she doesn't seem to trust my instincts about my daughter's allergy. She also made the statement, "All allergists do too much," which leaves me questioning if the allergist she is recommending will be someone she feels doesn't do as much too much.So .... to the question ... how did you find your allergist?

Re: XP: Where to start? Need an allergist.
Why don't you start by finding a new pedi?
If that's not an option I would see who is covered by your insurance and then research to see who ranks high for patient satisfaction.
Agreed! My DD has a peanut allergy, and our pedi gave us a list of allergists. We have seen a couple and at this point, I cannot give you a recommendation, because we haven't found one we have liked yet. If we find one we like, I will definitely post it.
