DH and I are just starting to TTC our first, and I'm a rower. Does anyone know if that's something I'll have to give up when we do get pregnant? It's awesome exercise but I'm not sure since there's so muh core work involved. Does anyone have experience rowing during pregnancy?
Re: Rowing?
This is a pretty delayed response so I hope you see it. I rowed in college and have an erg. I am currently 6 1/2 months pregnant and still rowing. It is not as easy as it used to be, I can't go as far or as hard as normal, but I don't have any issues continuing. That being said, my bump is totally in the way of moving all the way up the slide, so I am splitting my legs (which is also taking away from my power) to complete a workout.
It drives me insane that I have to split my legs and am not using the proper form, but I am making sure to keep my form in tact enough to not hurt myself.

Ooo, I'm a rower!! I'm just erging now, mostly bc I decided it wasn't worth it to pay dues for my club this season. I also asked my ob, and she said that when I got into 2d tri, she would be concerned that I might do some damage if I got hit with an oar the wrong way.
The erging is going ok, verrrrry draining...
