Got my steroid shot at 31 weeks...

Guess they are getting ready. My BP was up with the mild pre-e I guess they are prepping me. Anyone else get the shot this early??? I'm getting scared.

I did, ironically with my first (singleton) PG because I got a postive FFN at 30 weeks and was having contrax..I ended up carrying that pregnancy until 41+ weeks!! I always wondered if the steroid shots made him short LOL (he was 19 inches at birth!) 

I hope that you keep those babies baking!

Me too!  Short would be something since I've been the tallest girl in the class/group since I was a kid!

Yup I got mine at 31 weeks. But i was in PTL, no signs of PreE. I ended up making it to 37w4d!

i got it at 24 weeks exactly- the earliest they will let you get it.  i was on bed rest with my cervix around 1.5 cm.  i ended up making it to 36w, but i was definitely scared at the time.  i would have given anything to only start worrying at 31 weeks!  i hope they stay in there for a while longer.

I got it at 26 weeks because of positive FFN. I didn't notice anything different. It's an IM shot but no biggy. Ironically I've felt better in the last month after the positive FFN then before... less contractions, less feeling of uncomfortable-ness, better sleep. Very weird. Not that has anything to do with the shot

I got one on Monday. Still having lots of complications but I got to come off of hospital bed rest to strict bed rest at home. Im already dilated to 2cm and have pre-e and flow murmurs. Im just a mess. I hope I can make it to 30 weeks.

Yes, I got steroid shots at 31.5 weeks because of PTL. I ended up having the girls at 35 weeks exactly, and they were both over 5 pounds, and I'm 5'4'' with a small build. Prayers for you, mama! You'll do great!

I got my first ones at 24 weeks and then again at 28 weeks right before they came.  Most Dr.'s are in the better have them on board then not if they feel there is a chance of delivering in the next week or two.  Lots of luck and hoping they are just being cautious with you.  30+ weeks is a pretty good place to be as far as things go.  My little guy was only 13 inches and was 24.5 inches at 10 months.  I don't think it was from the steriods though.
