Late Miscarriage

I miscarried last week, well really my body didn't. I was almost 4 months, and I was 3 months when the baby apparently stopped growing. I had to carry the baby for another week until the D&C. It was the most awful experience ever. And now I'm having a hard time even waking up in the morning. It feels so unfair because it was so far along. I heard the heartbeat twice, and then i saw it on an ultrasound when we verified it had stopped growing. I can't even explain how much pain I am in. I don't even know what to do.

    I am so sorry for your loss.  Grief is such as strong, overwheming part of the loss.  Feel free to vent to us as we will support you throughout the process.

    I am so, so sorry for your loss. 

     You are not alone.

    Happily married, NJ, was due with first baby 12/7/12. Miscarried at 14 weeks 5 days on 6/12/12. Uterine fibroids. I'll be 35 in November.

    I am so sorry for your loss. My heart breaks for you. I miscarried a twin at 10 weeks 6 days and found out at my twelve week scan. I am carrying the baby along with the surviving twin. You can literally feel your heart breaking. My prayers are with you that you would have comfort and peace.

    I am so so sorry, that is so heartbreaking.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.  I would suggest seeing a counselor or joining a loss support group.  This is an insanely painful experience, I have had two friends with late losses and I think you need to take advantage of as much help as you possibly can.  (( Hugs )) I'm so sorry.

    Thank you everyone for your support. It helps to know that other people have felt this, not that I would wish that upon anyway. Ironically, I am a counselor, so it almost makes the grieving process harder because I know all the stereotypical things that are said to people during this. I am just having a hard time gripping the reality of this right now, I still feel like I should be growing my baby. I already want to have another one, but my fiance wants to wait a year until after our wedding, which I understand. I just feel like there is such a hole there now. It is impossible to be around so many people acting normal and like life is good and fine, when mine feels just the opposite. There is not a second this baby isn't on my mind.
