sitting: how long in tripod?

my daughter has been doing tripod for the last few weeks.  how long do they sit like this before they can sit on their own?

    Every baby will be different. C only did tripod for about a week.

    What PP said.... it really varies widely. My LO didn't like tripod so pretty much went straight to sitting. She still won't sit for long, she's more intent on mastering crawling.

    Evan didn't really like to tripod either. He did it for about 3 weeks and has been sitting upright unassisted for almost 2 weeks.

    My daughter dud that fir a month then 6 month hit and a switch went off. She could sit all day now
