Also...

Anyone else feeling better (i.e. more rested and like a human again)? Its like I hit the 3 week hurdle and passed it. She has been sleeping a 4-5 hour stretch for the past few nights and it has been ahhhmazing. I never knew getting an extra 2-3 hours of sleep could make such a difference.

I am actually being productive. I vacuumed the house for the first time in 3 weeks and I may actually cook something tonight!

Re: Also...

  • Every Week seems to get just a bit better :)

DD and I went on our first solo shopping trip today. Just the two of us. We went to BRU and michaels. :)

We still have bad days and bad nights but I don't feel quite so exhausted any more, and most times I can do a chore every day

  • I agree that every week seems to get better! DS has been sleeping 5-6 hour stretches, and even though the first hour of it doesn't usually coincide with my bedtime, it's still wonderful to get that much uninterrupted sleep. We had a rough night last night where he was up every 2-3 hours and today I feel like a complete mess. Here's hoping for some more sleep filled nights for all of us!

  • I am so jealous of you all getting 5/6 hours of straight sleep. Dd is a 2 or 3 hour max sleeper which means 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours once I am settled in. She is also only cat napping during the day UNLESS I wear her. I am hoping it's just part of the 6 wk growth spurt...fingers crossed!

DD just started taking a 3-4 hr nap in the afternoon/early evening and then another 3-4 hour stretch in the middle of the night.  It is crazy how much better I feel with just a little bit more sleep!

  • Yes, it is getting better...slowly. The first week home, I was so incredibly exhausted but hubby was less so (EBF so he doesn't have to get up to feed her). I had an exhausted/meltdown/crying fit one evening. The next day hubby helped me get in a 3 HOUR NAP! Oh, that made a world of difference!

Now there are definitely good days and bad days, but the good days are winning out. Yippee!
