do you lay down when you put them in? if so for how long? or do you just insert and go about your day?

I have to do my first one at work and I cant lay down but my 2nd of the day I do at bed time so thats fine..the pharmacist told me to just lay there and watch a show or something while I do them...my dr made no distinction.

 I do it twice a day..wondering if every 12 hours is better or if just twice a day not matter what time is okay? because I started doing them at 6 am and 10 pm...now I do 10 am and 10 pm...

what do you do?

I am on Crinone, i do it in the am and get up right away.  It absorbs better when youre moving around.

I am on prometrium..the suppositories would have taken 2 wks to get and so my dr prescribed the oral version which are little capsules (like gel caps) but you can also insert them vaginally which I do...I think it takes a little longer to break the gel casing down...not sure how the original suppositories are..?

I do them 3x a day and don't lay down when I put them in. 

Your body will absorb it whether you're standing or laying down, so I'm sure your good.

I was told to lay down afterwards (I don't remember how long, but some ladies on PGAL clarified it's typically between 20-30 minutes).  I'm on it 1x/ day and I put them in at night so I can lay down right after.

ETA:  I'm on compounded suppositories

I absolutely hate them and think they're disgusting! If they help, I'll put them in 10x a day though lol

 I cannot WAIT to be taken off them, wow. They're really impeding our sex life too. Can't have spontaneous sex anymore (

psshhh I havent even THOUGHT about sex! LOL....I do notice it leaks out thick stuff a little bit through otu the day so that could get messy....what could progesterone do to my DH if it got *on * him?! I never even THOUGHT of this because I am just too scared to have sex in 1st tri (dumb PGAL fears...)

I'm on Prometrium, 200mg/ twice a day. I just insert a pill and go about my business. I do have a small amount of leakage some days, but it's not too bad.

I am on only 1/day. My doc said to put it in before bed. I assume that's so I'm laying down and it can absorb. If I were doing 2x a day, I would probably do it every 12 hours.

Can I ask why you are using them vaginally and not taking them orally? My doctor has me on 100mg, 2x daily, he didnt say anything about using them one way or the other though. I am just curious.

I haven't intro'd yet, because I'm waiting until after my beta tomorrow, but I was on endometrium for my first pregnancy.  I was never instructed to lay down after inserting them - that said, I had a ton of discharge with them.
