Can a low battery on BBT mess up your temps?

First, sorry for the lack of formatting...iPhone. I'm wondering if a dying BBT can screw up your temps? I really thought I was going to O yesterday based on my symptoms, but according to today's temp I definitely did not. When I took my temp I could barely read it because the thermometer is do close to dying (first time I'd noticed that). I'm going to get a new one today, but obviously that doesn't help with this ams temp. I know a + opk does not mean for sure I will O and I know today could also be the day (but my CM is totally gone now). I also realize my chart is a mess with open circles (sleep deprivation and inconsistent wake times from DS). Anyway, I guess in just wondering if you think the thermometer could be messing me up(I know time will tell and I need more temps to confirm regardless)?

    Yes...mine started giving almost the exact same low temp every morning when it was time to change the battery.

    Yes, I would say change the battery otherwise at some point it will prob. not work anymore or give false temps.

    Yes. When my battery was dying my BBT started giving my favorite temps during the Few weeks before.

    Yes, my Mabis started saying that my temperature was in the 94s.

    I've had this happen too with the first Mabis I bought.  The second one I bought just completely died one day and wouldn't turn on.

    September 2012: Start IF testing

    DH (32): SA is ok, slightly low morph, normal SCSA  Me (32): Slightly low progesterone, hostile CM, carrier for CF, Moderately high NKC, High TNFa, heterozyogous mutated Factor XIII, and +APA

    October 2012-May 2014: 4 failed IUIs, 3 failed IVFs, and 1 failed FETw/donor embryos

    November 2014: IVF w/ICSI #4 Agonist/Antagonist with EPP and Prednisone, Baby Aspirin, Lovenox, and IVIG for immune issues.  Converted to freeze all due to lining issues.  2 blasts frozen on day 6!

    January 2015: FET #2 Cancelled due to lining issues

    April 2015: FET #2.1
