Question about miscarriage symptom

Hi all,
I am awake with pretty severe cramping and terrible diarrhea. I keep waiting for the miscarriage to start thinking that the cramping I'm having are signs that it's about to start. But I don't have any spotting or bleeding just awful diarrhea. Could the cramping and diarrhea be signs that the miscarriage is approaching?

Actually the night before my bleeding started I had terrible diarrhea too (Sunday night). I started spotting Monday morning and bleeding by noon on Monday with light off and on cramping. The severe cramping didn't start for me until Tue afternoon when I also started passing some tissue.

I don't know if diarrhea has anything to do with the miscarriage because I don't remember it happening any time before. But I'm sure each one is different and different for everybody. Sorry you are going through this though. It SUCKS!

I had some minor cramps but for some reason this entire pregnancy I had diarrhea really bad.  I just assumed my DD loosened everything down there and everything was just coming out that way vs throwing up.  We went to an amusement park the day before my mc officially came on (that I know of).  I was fine most of the day but started to get tired at the end.  Just figured that was normal as I was really tired with my first one.  I had minor brown spotting (very normal in my last pregnancy) that evening.  Then next morning at 0830 I found lost of fresh blood.  I had a little loose stool, waited till 0900 and had more blood.  Called my Doctor who saw me at 1000, they took blood and called by 1400 with the results that I was mc.

Cramping and diarrhea aren't necessarily miscarriage symptoms, you may have food poisoning or a stomach bug.  It's good that you don't have any spotting or bleeding.  Contact your doctor's office and ask them their advice.  I truly hope and pray that you are not miscarrying and that you have a healthy pregnancy and baby.  Thoughts and prayers to you, I know it is scary.

I personally did not have loose stool. I did have cramping but it really did not start until after I began to bleed. I would contact your OB.
