HCG levels at 5 weeks?

in 1st Trimester

Had blood work done to ensure I don't have low progesterone like I did with DD (I don't, thankfully), but my HCG levels are pretty high at 11,200.  Average is 18 - 7,200.  Didn't have an ultrasound, and didn't chart, but could this mean I'm further along than I was told!?  Gosh, I flippin hope so.  February seems like pluto distance away.

    You're not ill informed.  HCG is not a predictor of multiples.

    The range is VERY broad for HCG so you might be slightly further along or RIGHT where you're supposed to be :-)

    That's an average, your HCG could be higher based on implantation.....  no reason to worry...

    For point of reference, my levels were 3100 at 5w3d, 4556 at 5w4d, and 5900 at 5w5d.  You've got a strong baby in there!  lol
