So I was convinced I missed my + this month, but because I'm NUTS, I just used both a digital and a wondfo test strip in the same urine. I got a smiley on the digital and a negative on the wondfo.
Would you trust the digital? I did use a different test holder than the one I've been using the past few days because it was giving me an error message. Does that even matter? I started using the ClearBlue fertility monitor this month but so far I've had 7 days of highs and no peak, I'm guessing this month I might not get a peak on it since it's the first month.
I could seriously open an ovulation predictor retail store out of my bathroom right now!

I thought I was the only one who was going overboard on the OPK testing this month. I got a bunch of cheapies online but just to make sure they were working I used them along side another kit that I had previously purchased. After the third or forth time of getting the same results out of both strips you think I would have just picked one kind and stuck with it - but oh no - I kept on using two strips per sample. Last night I emptied the bathroom trash and the tones of used strips was a nice visual reminder of how crazy I was about the O this month.
There is NO logic to OPKs and their accuracy, I swear! Some people do well with the cheapies, some the digital ones, some can do either, and some can do neither.
It makes no sense!

This post makes me feel normal.
I was using the CBE OPKs since first starting TTC. After hearing all about cheapies all over these boards, I got some off of Amazon. They went from light test line to darker, but not darker than the control line and I missed my surge. That next month I decided to "save money" by using the $3 coupon for First Response OPKs. I used the Wondfos and the FR OPKs--missed again! (&*%#!!) The next month I went back to CVS for the $50 box of CBEs that never fail to smile back at me.
I can only trust the digitals. The box has that warning about "only" using the holder that came with the box of test sticks, but I'm thinking that's a marketing thing.
TTC since 10/2010
IUIs # 1-5 = BFFN
IVF # 1(July 2012) = BFN
IVF # 2 (November 2012) = BFP (MIssed MC D&C @ 8w3d on 1/10/13)
The cheapie Wondflos don't go darker than the control line-- they only go as dark as the control line. And the faint line to darker is consistent, I've found. I know that I'm going to surge soon and then bingo! Two days of lines almost/as dark as the control line and then: O! Every month.
Everyone's different, though.
