Not sure if this has been posted before, but since starting the adoption process I've learned about this nonprofit organization that gives adoptive families a free photo session once the adoption is finalized. The only thing is the session is only for those whose adoption has been finalized within the last 3 months. Anyway, thought some of y'all might be interested.
More information and a participating photographer list here: https://www.redthreadsessions.com/
ETA: I think all the photographers offer a free photo session but whether or not that includes digital files or prints is left up to them.

Check with your Commissioner/Judge first. We brought a photographer with us to our finalization hearing and she was not allowed to shoot in the court room- per the commissioner- during the hearing, only after- which wasn't nearly as cool. We got some cool pics outside the court house but it wasn't nearly what I thought it would be
Definitely depends on the court and judge - we were allowed to take pictures and video during and after...
