I have to AW...puppy love

Max has discovered his little "sister" is a lot more fun now...

while E was working on her army crawl techniques, Max came up to her rope toy in mouth and ever so gently laid it down in front of her...then he laid down and they both looked deeply into eachother's eyes...

Emma followed this with a series of screeching/belly laughs as she reached for the toy...she grabs it and again very gently Max pulled the toy closer to him. This game went on for a couple minutes until Max being the dog that he is heard a noise outside and took off for the window to investigate. E pouted a bit when he left and then went back to feverishly trying to get that elusive piggy back in her mouth.

Anyone else notice their pets interacting more with your LOs?

  • My poor, neglected cat has started laying down next to me when I'm nursing DS in the hopes that DS will either rub his belly with his feet or tug his ears with his lower hand.  DS is always happy to comply... usually with a small smirk on his mouth as if to say, "I'll be crawling soon, suckah!"
  • My dogs are thrilled that LO is eating solids now and eagerly await until he's done so they can clean up his hands for him and they take care of anything dropped on the floor.

One of them is brave enough/desperate enough for attention that she'll sit right up against him and let him nuzzle her and pull on her ears/tail/neck/arms&legs in his attempts to interact with her. The other one is too smart for that an sits just out of reach.

  • Rocky certainly notices E more, and he doesn't like it!  All E wants to do is touch Rocky, but Rocky rarely stands still long enough for E to get close.  E loves watching Rocky though, and usually reserves his belly laugh for our crazy puppy.  We were away this weekend, so when we got home and finally got Rocky Monday morning, he was missing us and actually came and sat next to Ethan.  It didn't last long, by the time I could get my phone to snap a picture, E was trying his hardest to touch him.  Rocky bolted to safety, and that is the moment this momtographer captured!

  • LO and Charlie (yellow lab) are BFFs for sure!  I'm not big on letting Charlie lick lo all the time so right before her bath I let them play together.  DD likes putting her hand in his mouth and trying to grab his tongue, poor Charlie just sits still and lets her!  I love it so much!  On the few occasions LO loses it and is crying historically we take her outside and throw the ball with Charlie, it immediately calms her down.

  • Our boxer is BFF with our daughter. She rolls, steps and can do anything to him and he still loves her. He sleeps in her room every night.

My oldest, Reagan, loves to play fetch with tennis balls... she is always bringing them to Ana trying to get her to play. Sometimes we will hold A while Reagan is play fetch, let Reg bring her the ball, and kind of knock it out of her hands so Reg thinks she's playing with her.
Ana gets a kick out of it and I love it.
