...become an anesthesiologist. Crazy how much they charge! Got the explanation of benefits from my C-section. 4,000 dollars! (3500 for the anesthesia plus 500 bc it was an emergency situation) Dang! The whole surgery took an hour and they saw me for about two minutes to remove the epidural line the next day.

I certainly picked the wrong profession. (shaking my head in disappointment)

Right! When I got the bill I was amazed at how much they charge for the pain pills that they kept pushing on me. I repeatedly said I was ok yet every hour someone would come in and ask me if I wanted more pain meds. Luckily, I only took pain meds the day of delivery and then one pill the day after. Thank god,since they cost an arm and a leg!

They won't get even close to that after insurance gets a hold of it. But what's crazy is some insurances consider epidurals elective and won't pay for them. Thank goodness my insurance was not one of those! The bill that was crazy to me was the hospital. For a normal vaginal delivery it was close to $40,000!?!

Yeah its crazy! I got the bill in the mail for my $500 copay and saw that the insurance paid $38k for a vaginal delivery...serioulsy how? I mean I did all the work! haha I laid in a bed for 2 days doing majority of the work...
