Foam or Springs?

For DS1 we have the LA Baby Organic (spring) mattress.  He is still in his crib so I can't just use his  

For this baby we bought the Ikea Hensvik crib. From my research so far I've read that a lot of people have the Sealy Soybean mattress with Ikea cribs b/c it fits the best.  We didn't buy an Ikea mattress b/c they are so flat and flimsy.

So, my question is are you doing a Foam or Spring mattress?  I remember with DS I felt like Springs were "best" but I can't remember why I felt that way, lol!

So which are you doing and why?

We have the Colgate Classica (the dual side foam one) for our Ikea crib (Gulliver). Great snug fit. We've been using it for 3.5 years and it's in excellent shape. We will keep using it for baby # 2.

We are doing foam because it is lighter and what baby bargains recommends.

Foam.  We also have the Colgate Classica and will be using it for LO #2.  It is very easy to maneuver and change the sheets.

We have a foam one.  We got it over 3 months ago and I don't recall our logic in getting it at this time.

haha, I don't feel so bad then for not remembering why I bought springs 3 years ago

Good to know that so many of you have foam, b/c I was leaning towards foam this time because of them being lighter.  It is a pain in the ARSE to change DS1's sheets with that heavy mattress!!
