Leg stuck in crib

DS got his leg stuck in his crib yesterday. He was standing up and stuck his leg through. It wasn't easy to get out either. I thought it was a fluke and then it happened again today! WTH am I suppose to do? I thought the slates were made so that wouldn't happen?

    I think they are made so their heads don't go through, not limbs. Have you tried a breathable bumper?

    No the slats are made so bottles dont get stuck (dont ask me why bottles and not arms/legs).  Anyway a breathable bumper will remedy that.  I believe they are on sale this week.  Check slickdeals.net for the Sunday post or maybe Saturday??

    ETA:  Google said its the width of the bottle is the proper width not to prevent bottles from passing through.

    we actually have a breathable bumper on there!! He just stands up on that and pushes it down. He's started to climb so it just gets pushed down. I thought about putting a regular bumper on there but I'm afraid it will just help him climb further up

    Is it getting stuck because he's slipping off the bumper while he's trying to climb on it? Maybe you could try taking the bumper out...

    Glad you got it out. My lo got his leg stuck in the crib just past his knee one morning. I could not pull it out.  I had to lube him up with canola oil!!  What a mess.

    Only happened once thank goodness.
