Hows it going for everyone?
When me and STBHX first split I moved home and lost a bunch of weight, dragged LO on hikes, jogs and went to gym after bedtime. Now Im waaay more focused on her and like to be home for nap time and go to sleep at a decent hour since shes an early riser.
A successful workout these days is taking LO and the dog out for a walk. I feel like shes too young to take her to the Y daycare.
What are you guys able to fit in?
Re: Speaking of working out..
I'm only 2w pp, so I'm still taking it easy. Plus, it's been getting to 100 every day. I walk up the street to a city park, then around the park and back home. It's about 3/4-1 mile. My goal is to get to twice around the the park and twice around the block on the way home, a total of three miles. However, I'm also playin it by ear heat wise. If it gets to ht for Henry, I'll head back home ASAP.
Once it starts cooling down, I'm going to add the Zoo and Six Flags/Sea World to the mix. I'm used to being active. My pregnancy was hard, and I couldn't do it.
I try to workout on my lunch break, but work has been crazy the past few months and I no longer get lunch and I'm stretching my daycare time to the max. Needless to say, working out has not been something I've been able to do lately, but I should start getting some relief at work a couple of days a week starting next week and will hopefully be able to fit in some workout time.
I can't wait to get back into the gym! It's the only "me" time I get right now!
While on mat leave i went to the gym 2-3 times a week. I lost most of the weight. Now that i am back to work i have probably gained some of it back!! Ideally i would love to hit the gym 2-3 times a week but its not fair to DD. I work fulltime so some weeks i can sneak in a quick 1 hour session after work if my mom will watch her for the extra hour. I also try to go some weekend mornings if a family member wants to hang with DD. But this doesnt happen every week because it cuts into our time.
I do try to walk on my lunchbreak if its nice out. I take DD for walks every weekend and some weeknights (weather permitting) and if she is playing with her toys on the floor i get down and do situps and pushups (which she thinks is hysterical)
