Potty Trained School & Pooping Setback: wwyd?

DS is day-trained with #1, in underwear during the day, only diapers at night and its rare for him to nap so we are able to take him out during the day to public areas (mall, restaurants, etc) and he will go to the public pottys.  #2 is a different story.

DS used to poop just in his morning diaper, but since being day trained, holds in his poop and will poop in his underwear.  He refuses to sit on the potty to poop, Ive tried bribes, books, songs, IPad TV, anything...even time alone in the bathroom.  He will sit, yes, but he wont poop and gets scared if he feels it (with underwear or not).  

Now, we are enrolling him into a montessori school in the fall, but they ask for all children to be potty trained.  Should we go back to pullups?  should we still continue the enrollment process although we know this setback is occuring?

This was DD. She was totally potty trained/learned but asked for a diaper for poop at night. I resisted for a while .. but consitipation led me to let her do her poop where she wanted - in a diaper. Funny thing, when we took the pressure off she went in the potty. In 2-3 months, she was back to pooping on the potty.

I wouldn't go back, but I'd listen to what he wants. And do that. You have several months. That's a good amount of time to tackle this.
