Did you move your older child behind you in the car to put new baby behind the passenger seat so you could see them better? I'm thinking if I should decide to do this if I should do it now so it's not a "new baby is here so YOU have to move" type thing for DD.

Both of my girls are still RFing. DD1 is behind the driver in a convertible seat, DD2 is behind the passenger in an infant seat. We put the seats where they fit best in our small car while still making sure they could both RF. It's very rare that I drive more than 20 minutes with the girls by myself, so being able to reach the baby while I'm driving wasn't a concern. And actually, after doing a 6 hour each way road trip by myself with them, I found it easier to have DD1 behind me so I could just drop snacks and toys over the top of the seat into her lap :P
We did move DD1 to the other side of the car several months before DD2 was born. Not so much so she wouldn't feel displaced, but more because we were moving her out of the infant seat and into the convertible, and we figured we might as well install the convertible where it would be staying instead of moving it later.
