We are doing two weeks on Delaware shore in early August and I am looking for a good beach tent. DD will be 2 months so she needs shade but also I want good ventilation. Does anyone have any favorites?
We got this one for my inlaws for Christmas for their place in Florida. We went and visited them over spring break and used it, it's great! Works well and is easy to set up.
""No one else will ever know the strength of my love for you. After all, you're the only one who knows what my heart sounds like from the inside." "On the night you were born, the moon smiled with such wonder that the stars peeked in to see you and the night wind whispered "Life will never be the same." Because there had never been anyone like you... ever in the world." ~ Nancy Tillman
We spent a week at the beach last month and ours was the only tent that wasn't collapsing or blowing away. Its more expensive than the baby ones, but well worth it in my opinion. It is much larger, anchors into the sand, has enough room for 5 or 6 people to hang out under it, has zip openings to allow a breeze, and has UPF 50 sun protection. We use it every time we go to the beach.
the go crib is possibly the best invention ever. we've used it dozens of times and have no complaints at all. the sunshade is great and it works for overnight sleep too like in hotels.
We have the Kids Sun Dome from Kel-Gar and love it! Works great at the beach or park and has a full mesh front that can be fastened open as well as panels on the sides and back! I think I got it for around $30 at BRU with a coupon. Hope that helps!

Get a big one and then you can all get in it. Useful for keeping stuff
off the sand and out of sight, and when he is bigger and prone to wander
off you have a meeting point. Seriously, our family sized one is a
total godsend.
Once folded down (ha, and that's another story...) there is not a huge
amount of difference between baby and family cabanas as we are
apparently supposed to call them.
This is what we got for our beach vacation this summer. When I got to comparison shopping, I figured we should get something we could use for years, not "baby-sized".

We got one that pops up as opposed to having to be set up with poles. It's from Amazon.
