Boba and Beco, sharing between spouses

I currently have rented the Boba 3G, Beco Butterfly 2 and Beco Gemini.  I'm too pregnant to try the front carry with my 3 mo. old niece, so DH is trying them out.  He loved the Beco Butterfly, but found the straps hard to adjust.  That concerns me because we'll both be carrying DD a lot, and he's much taller than me.  Any experience on which carrier is easiest to switch between spouses?  Thanks!

  • With the Butterfly you can switch the baby from parent to parent without taking the baby out of the carrier. However I prefer the ease of strap adjustment on the Boba and found the safety latches on the Butterfly cumbersome. There is a 16 inch height difference and +100lb weight difference between DH and I but sharing the Boba was never an issue.

  • Thanks for the reponse.  That's the deal for me.  I feel like the ease of baby transfer for the Beco gets negated by the hard to adjust straps.  When he put on the Boba, it was just tug here and there and he was good to go.  The Beco's straps where required his two hands plus my holding up my niece to take the weight off of them for him to adjust.  I still want to love the Beco, in addition to my original question, has anyone found the internal harness to provide a little coolness between you and baby?  I live in humid Kansas and I've read that the internal harness keeps mom and baby a little cooler.  Is that just Beco hype?
