WW ladies- how many points do you get?

I get 40... is that normal? I just saw that it says "weight watchers default" next to the number 40 so I'm not sure if this is just the amount everyone gets? How do I retake the points quiz to see if I need to eat less points once I lose weight? I've only lost a few lbs so far so I doubt my points value has changed yet.

I am 5'1 and currently 134 lbs.

Re: WW ladies- how many points do you get?

  • I get 44 points a day. I get 30 as my regular points based on weight/age etc. And I get 14 additional points as a nursing mother. I lost 4.4 lbs my first week. THen I fell of the wagon, I'm back on now tho hoping for a loss this week (I don't ALWAYS eat all 14 nursing points, some days I do some days I eat half etc if I ate a lot of free fruit I know I got enough nutrition and don't worry about it).

They tell me my points when I go to the meetings. I think the lowest amount someone can get is around 24 or 26 so if the 40 includes 14 nursing points that sounds right to me.

  • 26 but with nursing 40. I lost 4lbs the first week and 2 the second. I use all 40 points but try not to touch my weekly allowance points.

  • OP, you are at a healthy weight.  WWs is giving you the points you need to maintain your weight and stay healthy.  I would try to get all your points in a day.

I'm still 20-ish pounds above my pre-pregnancy weight so I'm definitely trying to lose weight. I'd like to lose at least 10 of the 20 pounds in order to feel more like my old self and fit into some of my clothes. My current BMI is a little over 25 so I'm slightly over the healthy weight for my height. And I do use all 40 of the points each day but I try not to use the weekly flex points.

  • I just started and get 41 with my breastfeeding points. Not sure how to check what my points are without breastfeeding. I usually use all my points, but try not to use the flex points. I'm 5' 4" and 168lbs, wanting to lose 20-25 lbs.

If you are using the online portion of WW it will recalculate your points for you as you lose weight.  I'm not currently using WW, but hope to rejoin very soon because I had great results with it last time I used it!  Good luck!  :)

  • I get 43 (due to the 14 extra points for nursing).
