DS is getting to the age where he'll zombie out in front of the television. I don't want him growing up being as addicted to it as I was/am, so in the mornings while DH sleeps (he works night shift and gets to sleep until noon) I've declared to be no TV time. It's best for both of us, but it's hard for me to not have something on the TV, especially while trying to entertain the baby by myself. Just goes to show how addicted to TV I actually am.
Re: Monday Moans
I also almost always have the TV on for background noise. But since DD has discovered the TV and pays closer attention to it now I either turn her away from it and we play or what she really loves is Toddler Tunes on Music Choice so I turn it to that and we listen to some music
But you know, I used to watch quite a bit of TV as a kid BUT I was also outside a lot, so I don't think it's that big of a deal... As long as it is all balanced and our babies don't turn into couch potatoes we are just fine

HA I know exactly what you mean. My DH is the biggest baby ever! He stubs his toe and thinks he needs to lay down for 2 days and is not supposed to do anything. He'll have a papercut and say how the blood is gushing out! I mean RIDICULOUS!
I agree with this! I actually try to get DS to watch some baby Einstein while I make dinner but he is usually more interested in being in his jolly jumper or exersaucer
I went back to work today after 2 months of being out of work and to make it even harder I had to go out of town for training so I had to leave B behind. I fly home on Friday and then have to turn around and fly back here for another week. I love connecting with adults again and working but I really miss all the 1:1 time with my little man.
I didn't let anyone keep my DS overnight until he was over a year old (14 months). It was MIL who watched him that night...she is my go-to sitter and I love her though.
