cycle number 4. no MEnopur this time

We are about to start cycle number 4 and the RE wants to try using FSH only products (Bravelle or gonal f or Follistem) and no Menopur. The RE feels that our last cycle was doomed because of too much LH. THe last cycle we had only 3 eggs at ER and out of the 2 fertilized but zero made it to transfer. Anyone ever cycle with no menopur? RE says the body will make the LH on its own... THinks the eggs on the last cycle were postmature...
