City Select Bassinet Users, a question

Does the cover come off?  I figure it does but want to be sure before ordering off of Amazon.  How long did you use it and was it worth it?

The bassinet cover uses the regular seat frame, snaps on, and you change out the bottom foot attachment.  We did wash it a couple times and it did great. After it was just damp I attached it back to the frame b/c I was terrified that it would shrink but it did fine.

We LOVED it!  My son was so happy in it and would take long naps when we were out and about.  We bought the car seat attachment but honestly it's still in the box.  Since he was a reflux baby, I used my pregnancy wedge with a muslin blanket over it to elevate his head and he was really comfy in it.  Once he started to roll a lot at 5 mos we had to stop using it but it was great.

If you are using the stroller as a double then you have to have the 2nd seat/attachment to use the bassinet. You undo the fabric from the seat to use the frame for the bassinet. It's easy to put together and take off. DS2 loved the bassient and we used it a lot especially since he hated his infant seat

I do already have the 2nd seat kit and the car seat adapter.  I was wondering though if the bassinet wouldn't be good to have for like all day family reunions in the park.  And a cooler alternative to the infant seat for walks.

I used the bassinet for walks and when we were out longer periods. I also used it twice for our vacations to Disney world. It was cooler them the infant seat and ds2 loved it.

Yes, the cover comes off. My son loved it as a newborn.
