Took another test today (kind I've never used, w/ a dropper) & while it read BFP, the line took a while & was fainter than I'd like. When I took my 1st test about a week ago it was very fast & strong. Is this just a testing method difference, or should I be on the lookout for mc?? If it matters, the first test was one of those early response tests & this one was a cheapo from the $ store. I've had 2 chemical pregnancies in the past & am terrified I'm going to break the big news only to lose the baby :-(
Re: Should I be concerned?
I agree with PP. Also, if you're using a dropper, you may not have enough urine on the stick for as long as is recommended in the directions, so it may have had a harder time picking up the hCG.
My advice is to step away from the pee sticks! You will only cause yourself more stress. I know it's tough to be patient, especially with the 2 CPs you've had in the past, but for your peace of mind it is best to just relax and wait out anymore testing until your first appointment.
I know, I probably should... I think I'm freaking myself out by planning this big, dramatic Father's Day announcement, like what if I break the big news only to find I've already mc & then we're BOTH devastated... DH didn't know about either CP until after the fact, so he was largely protected from the fallout.
I would assume that it is the difference it tests. I am sure you are fine. Unless you are cramping and bleeding a lot I wouldn't worry too much about it.
According to my estimation of my LMP (I don't track) I'm about 5.5 wks... I'm sure my first appt will give me great peace of mind!
Thank you, ladies, for calming my crazy ;-)
