or does "gender neutral" mean more "kind of boyish but not completely" more than actually gender neutral? I haven't seen a single gender neutral nursery set that looks like I'd personally use it for a girl. If anyone has seen anything that's not too "boy", please share!
Re: Is it just me
I guess it's all a personal preference. I love the gender neutral that has greens, yellows, browns. Some think of green as a "boy" color though and so that may still seem too boyish for you.

I think the animal theme to me is more boy but maybe I'm just weird. I really do like the gray one you posted. I just talked to SO today about gray walls because they're gender neutral to me. I guess I do think of green as boy. I don't want something uber pink and frilly for a girl but I would like some femininity. Thanks for the links!!
Is damask girly? It's my favorite pattern and it's black and white but does it work for boy as well as girl?

That looks girl to me, IMHO. Honestly, you don't need a set of bed stuff. It'd be cheaper and easier to plan gender nuetral by buying a la carte, almost. You won't use the quilt and bumpers are a no-go. So you'd be better off with finding decorations and painting gender neutral than anything else.
The damask is hard to look at (a very busy pattern IMO) but black and white is definitely neutral. Goes well with gray walls. Plus you can add some items in other colors once you know the gender, and they can be switched out in the future.
I totally agree. With DD, we decided to find her gender out after shopping and finding nothing we considered gender neutral.
Yeah, I always wonder why they put everything in a set with stuff you can't even use.

This is the one I have picked out, I think the patterns make it a little girly but it would still be okay for a boy.
