WDYT of Quinton?

In my last post, someone suggested the name Quinton for a future baby in my sibset.  Its a name I have never thought of, but I'm really starting to love it.

What do you think of this name?

I feel like I pronounce these the same... could you explain the difference for me?  Just curious!

Quentin = KWEN - tin
Quinton = KWIN - tun

It's probably one of my least favorite boy names, but it's just NMS.

I really like it but also prefer Quentin. It was the first name I ever fell in love with for my hypothetical future baby.

I highly dislike it. Especially with Ava and Harper.

Quinton/Quentin are among my most disliked names but, if I had to choose, I would go with Quentin because I consider it the more traditional version/spelling.

I don't mind the name, just wanted to point out the possibility of the nn Quinn, which is becoming a more unisex name IMO.  I went to high school with a Quinton who went by Quin.  I've heard Quinn as a girl's name on this board, and the popularity of Glee with a female Quinn may contribute to that, as well.  If the unisex thing doesn't bother you, it's a nice name!

First thought - San Quentin prison, the largest one in California. Horrible association.
