I joined the MOM's group in my area- West Chester. You can contact the national MOM's group and find the chapter closest to you. It's been great for me! And you know the women in your group are all SAHM and also they live nearby. It means our kids will go to school together and whatnot.
I'm also in a MOM's group in my area (Nky- Campbell Co.) I know there is also one in Ft.Thomas Ky- Not sure what part of town you are in but I would guess there is a branch close to you somewhere. We love it- our group has at least 2 activities a week (zoo outings, kindermusik classes, museum, etc.) and it also has a 1x/month book club in the evenings for some adult time and 1x/month Moms Night Out that is dinner, sometimes a movie, sometimes just going out for drinks, etc. I like that it gives me ideas of stuff to do and I have options of things to do with the kids if we have a day where we are bored.
If your child is under a year old, I highly recommend The Cincinnati Family Enrichment Center, theplaceforfamilies.com The classes do cost money, but you are always welcome to just go hang out on the sunporch and chat with other moms. They have an actual mom's group meeting, I think on Thursday morning, but there is always a group there. Loved that place when C was younger.

I found a couple of Mom's groups online. They're not necessarily for SAHM's but it's a great way to meet other moms in the area.
Also, there's a Cincinnati Mom's Facebook group, if you're interested. We plan meetups/play groups. PM me if you're interested.
