Yes, I waited to get cleared. Your placenta leaves an open wound on your uterus, and having sex before you are cleared ups your risk of infection.

I am going to.  We are also waiting for me to get on birth control so we need to wait until my 6 wk pp check-up anyway.

Seriously, don't rush it. Let your body heal.

Was just curious as with my first we waited or second we did at 5 weeks and those were a natural birth the twins were a c/s and a friend of mine said she didnt wait till 6 wks after her c/s so I was curious what others did! I might give in on fathers day I'll be 5 wks pp

Yep. It wasn't at all easy though. Weirdly enough I was DYING for sex just hours after DS was born (TMI maybe...hormones are crazy!).

My doctor stressed heavily to wait until the 6 week PP check up (which was actually closer to 8 weeks because of scheduling issues). She even pulled DH to the side and stressed it to him. And my c/s went very smoothly. I've heard of some doctors doing PP check ups earlier than the 6 weeks if you have a c/s. 

I think it's pretty important to be given the all clear by a doctor and not just go ahead with it. It's hard when you're waiting---but not really worth the risk of infection. And honestly...I can't imagine how much it would have hurt if I didn't take all that time to heal. Even with a c/s the 18 hours of labor prior feels like shifted everything.

I waited longer, just no desire to have sex but when the time came it was great.  I would wait, there is a waiting period for a reason.

I was cleared by 4 weeks and had no pain or problems at all. I healed really fast, though and had a ridiculously easy recovery.

yup, waited until 8 weeks PP even though I was cleared at 6 weeks.

Are you giving in to yourself or your husband? Because if your husband is pressuring you for sex after having two babies surgically removed from your body he's an ass. HTH.

Well yes he wants it! But I want it just as bad! So no it isn't just for him! He is NOT an ass!! We haven't had sex since Feb!
