Progress

It's been a difficult year for Trevor for so many reasons, but I've seen some progress lately. He benefitted hugely from extra am reading (improved by 2 levels in 8 weeks), has made some friends, and lately is able to express why he is doing certain behaviors. He started pull-out services for ELA (1.5 hours per day), and accommodations are finally in place. He tells me he is less nervous, so a positive there as well. Happy things are looking up and next year should be much smoother with the IEP in place.

Re: Progress

  • Finally breathing a bit after a very difficult 1st grade year. I soo wanted my boy to be a "typical" child after being told he was "caught up," and no longer eligible for services in K.  He needs the support of the IEP.
