I love my morning time with DS, we snuggle, sing songs, eat Cheerios and drink milk, just hang out until Daddy is ready to take him to school. Now that he's in the toddler room, they go outside and I need to apply sunscreen. It is ruining our special morning time. He has a meltdown every single time. He hates it when I rub it in, especially on his face and ears. Anyone have any tricks to try that might make it a little easier?
Re: Applying sunscreen
Try a sunscreen stick. A hat that stays on ... At least it is something.
This probably won't work yet, but when my oldest was around 2 I had the same issue and I told him I was face painting. I draw a "snowman" because it is white and talk about the three circles, carrot nose, hat on the head, scarf, whatever until I "paint" the whole face. he still thinks it is cool.
This is a great idea. If we have issues, I'm definitely going to try this.
