Pregnant after 35

+35 and 2 under 2 where are you?

Just wondering who might be out there of if anyone knows of a board such posters might be...

Approaching 39 and I am already learning a whole other realm of exhaustion and would love to hear from others on how on earth they are going to do this.

I'm 42 and LO is 14ms and I am 16 weeks pregnant.  I use to work in DC and feel it will be okay.  I am sure stressful and needing a few naps.  how ever with them being my own I'm sure it will be completely different then other peoples children.

  • I'm 39, and I'll let you know in about 13 weeks!!!  Wink  They'll be 21 months apart, so barely 2u2, BUT....I alternate between being not that worried (really, what's another kid when you have one, right?) to completely terrified (are we out of our minds? WTH were we THINKING???) to utterly in denial that we're even going to have to attempt it (no name picked out; no thoughts of getting a big boy room ready for DS; girl clothes?  What are those?)  So yeah, It's going to be interesting to say the least.  Most days, I just remind myself that we did it with one and survived, basically learning as we went along, and we'll just do the same for learning how to juggle two.   Plus, sleep is WAY overrated, right?!?!  LOL

  • I'm 36 and expecting our second in November.  Our kids will be 12 months, 2wks apart.  I'm thinking I'll do it hour by hour and with some hope of grace?
  • I'm 37 and will be a month shy of 38 when this baby comes.  They will be just under 2 years apart.  I am absolutely exhausted right now and I'm only 27 weeks.  I am hoping there is some truth in having 2 being easier than being pg w/ a toddler.  LOL.  I bet some 23 year old said that.  I am not one to ask for help at all.  In fact, I hate people in my house.  My mother helps 1-2 days a week w/ Grace while I'm at work and it took me months to get used to her being here in at first.  I was borderline "angry" in the beginning.  This time around, I am going to take any help others are willing to give b/c I cannot imagine juggling a toddler and newborn.  I don't think my daughter is going to be too easy in the beginning.  I think she's actually going to be pretty pissed off LOL.  Oh well, I'm not the first person in the world to have 2U2.

  • By the time I have the baby, I'll be 40 with 2 under 3.  My DH keeps looking at me to say, "How the hell are we going to be able to do it?"  I haven't figured out how everyone will fit in our 2bd house.

  • My exhaustion levels certainly got to their all time worst in my first trimester of this pregnancy.  I'm 40 and have a 5 year-old, a 3 year-old and an 11 month-old at home while being pregnant with our fourth.  Our youngest two will be about 16 months apart.  I know that I can't really prepare for the chaos that will ensue so I'm going to just try and go with it.  You find ways to make it work because you have to.

Kelly, Mom to Christopher Shannon 9.27.06, Catherine Quinn 2.24.09, Trey Barton lost on 12.28.09, Therese Barton lost on 6.10.10, Joseph Sullivan 7.23.11, and our latest, Victoria Maren 11.15.12

Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck.  Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.

  • I just turned 37, I have a 14 year old, my baby just turned 1 last week and I'm due in November. I'm already pretty tired. I'm not sure how I'm going to do it, but it will be done somehow. My husband will probably stay home with me the first few weeks. He stayed home with me for 12 weeks after our last one. That was a blessing. Yeah, sleep is way overrated. I'm guessing I may get some sleep when they are 10? Since the beginning of this year I've been completely a stay at home mom and it is a lot harder than I remember it being when I was 23...

  • Not quite 2 under 2, but I am 8 weeks along and have a 2 year old at home.

I'll have 2 under 3 for about a month.  Smile

I am exhausted beyond belief right now, so if this keeps up I will be so used to it by the time LO arrives, it'll be no big deal.
