a warm puppy.   Remember that old Peanuts line?  

We're huge Peanuts fans in our house.  Hubby is TOTALLY Charlie Brown all grown up.. with much more hair.  Funny thing is.. I was a huge Peanuts fan too.  So I guess it was fate that we'd be together.   I still have my Peanuts trash can down in the basement, tons of books, etc.  I even had Snoopy sheets and towels as a kid.

In the summer - homemade ice cream, eaten out on the deck around sunset.

In the winter - a bowl of fresh popcorn (with butter and salt on it), eaten while watching a favorite chick flick and with a fire going.

(And I also love Peanuts - I own the holiday DVD collection and watch them every year; my sheets were Strawberry Shortcake, though...)

My moms family was super into the Peanuts and I appreciate Snoopy much more having had a beagle. I had a stuffed Belle growing up and in the spirit of tradition I wanted a stuffed Snoopy in my delivery room, but that didn't go as planned. My mom got one for me a few months later and I might sleep with it.

Loved Snoopy.  I had one with the with the Saturday Night Fever white suit and black shirt.  He was so cool.

Today's happiness was stepping out of my office (I home office) to sneak downstairs to see my LO.  He giggled and RAN towards me.  Gave me a big hug and just had to bounce on my knee for a little while.  He isn't a snuggly baby so his hugs are precious.
