Special Needs

short & sweet

M's urodynamic study was 100% opposite from 2 weeks ago.  They were able to fill her to a normal capacity for her age and she didn't have the crazy spasms showing up that previously did.  The dr was sick that day and cancelled all other patients but us.  So maybe it was dr. error, maybe it was machine error.  Who knows, according to this test her bladder is not neurogenic and since the other one was inconsistent with everything else, we are going to call it a fluke.

Side Note: I really don't get super happy when we get good news anymore, I think i'm constantly just waiting for the next 'bad' thing to happen.  Plus, I know P still has to struggle so that makes it difficult to be overjoyed that M is more "normal."

Re: short & sweet

  • I am glad M's study went well.  I know it doesn't make things any easier necessarily, but I was really happy to read the outcome.  You have been in my thoughts lately.
  • That is great news, it's one less thing you need to worry about.

  • Weird. Good news though, right????

I know what you mean about the good news stuff. Good News is never the same "weight" as bad news. It really plays with your internal see-saw. Sucks.

  • I'm still going to give you a high five anyway. I think AR is right. We get so used to bad news that to get a little good news, we feel like someone is messing with us and it gets brush off, NBD.
